Decorating Easter Egg Hunting Ideas
Easter eggs are special eggs that are often given to celebrate Easter or springtime.
The oldest tradition is to use dyed or painted chicken eggs, but a modern custom is to substitute chocolate eggs, or plastic eggs filled with confectionery such as jelly beans. These eggs are often hidden, allegedly by the Easter Bunny, for children to find on Easter morning. Otherwise, they are generally put in a basket filled with real or artificial straw to resemble a bird's nest.
Just when you think you’ve seen everything, along comes another mind-boggling art form that you didn’t think existed and probably never even imagined. This time it’s coloring eggs.
I can say I’ve seen my share of wonderful Easter egg artworks, including intricate eggshell sculptures, colorful Easter Egg mosaics, an Easter Egg Tree and even an Easter Egg theme park, but I had never seen something as beautiful and original as these embroidered eggs. It’s something I know I will never be able to do, but like Mary Corbett says, it’s amazing to know someone out there did do it.
I know they look pretty unbelievable, and at first glance you’d be tempted to think the embroidered motifs are done separately and glued on the eggs, but after taking a closer look you notice the holes, and realize these are real embroidered eggs. I don’t know who invented this incredible technique, but I’m pretty sure they require years of practice and a lot of patience to create. So, even though Easter 2011 is behind us, you can start practicing now, and you might just have something to brag about to your friends, next year.

Viagra Beer
Our favourite brewers are at it again. And this time the crazy guys at Brewdog have created a beer called 'Royal Virility Performance' to mark the forthcoming Royal Wedding.
But as you'd expect from the people who created the world's strongest beer and served a brew in dead animals, this is no ordinary beer… it's said to be laced with viagra.
In fact they claim the aphrodisiac-filled India Pale Ale means that drinking three of the 7.5 per cent ABV bottles is the equivalent of taking one Viagra pill.
And it doesn't end there. Packaging on the bottles includes line like "Arise Prince Willy" and makers say they've sent some for the Prince to have a stiff drink on his wedding night.
James Watt, co-founder of BrewDog said: "We put a bottle in a jiffy bag marked ‘Prince Willy, Buckingham Palace’. As the bottle says, this is about consummation, not commemoration, so we hope he gets it.”
The craft ale will cost £10 per bottle, with all proceeds going to the charity Centrepoint, which Prince William supports and just 40 bottles of the beer will be sold via BrewDog.com.
For anyone wondering about the legality of selling a viagra-laced beer it's worth noting the label states it contains: "Viagra, chocolate, Horny Goat Weed and a healthy dose of sarcasm".

Shopping For Women
This shopping centre had some decidedly under-dressed shoppers at the weekend... as hordes of underwear-clad women competed to win £100 gift vouchers.
Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex gave the prizes to the first 100 women to turn up on Sunday morning in nothing but their bra, panties and high heels.
After getting the gift card the girls who had dared to bare were then encouraged to hit the shops and buy themselves a new outfit.
However, while women had already got a pair of hight heels on, a surprisingly high number of them headed straight for the shoe shops… which must have made their walk home interesting.
Kylie Minor, from Lakeside Shopping Centre said: "We loved seeing all our luscious ladies looking gorgeous in their underwear and heels and I’m sure they all enjoyed choosing an outfit from our wide range of new spring fashion in the stores afterwards."

Cheese Shoes Created By Fromage Design Students
Fashion students have got the whiff of success after creating a range of cheese couture... including these suitably cheesy shoes.
The cheese-based fashion has been crafted by students from Bath Spa University to promote regional produce and will go on show at the Royal Bath and West Show.
Lisa Dillon made these "Jimmy Cheese" shoes using West Country cheddar and bread, sculpting the heel from a block of Cheddar and using a stale cheese sandwich for part of the platform sole.
The front was then moulded from more Cheddar and extra melted cheese was shaped to embellish the design… we think they really take the biscuit… but you might think they stink.
The fashionistas have also made other accessories such as hats, belts and ties out of cheese and cheese wrappers.
Textile Design for Fashion and Interiors course leader Amanda Goode, said of the students: "They have risen to the challenge and really pushed the boat out, experimenting with the cheese and coming up with some fabulous ideas which only youth could think of."

Royal Wedding Gets Recreated In Pizza Portrait
Bookies recently gave punters the chance to bet on what would be served as the main course at the wedding dinner of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Offering odds of 50/1 it would be pizza.
Well we wonder what odds they would give that this royal wedding pizza portrait would be making its way to plates at the event?
The odd pizza has been created by food artists working for Papa John’s as a way of celebrating the forthcoming marriage (and getting Papa John’s mentioned in the news).
Kate’s veil is made from mushrooms and her dress from cheese, while William’s morning suit has been created out of salami and peppers… that's the pizza we're talking about, not the clothes for the big day.
A spokesperson for Papa John’s said: "It seems like the whole country has got Royal Wedding fever, so we just had to do something special to celebrate this momentous occasion.

Dog Leash
We have a feeling using this dog leash in public could get you a bit of unwanted attention from the RSPCA and quite possibly police.
That's because Lebedev Studio designed it to look like you are shooting your pet pooch in the head as you take it for daily walkies.
Dubbed Povodokus, the gun-shaped handle contains a bright red lead which goes out freely as the dog pulls and reels in when you pull the trigger.
While creator Andrey Dyakov, says he came up with the idea as a concept, he told Newslite they've not ruled out taking it into production. Your move now PETA

Hill of Crosses in Lithuania
The Hill of Crosses is a site of pilgrimage about 12 km north of the city of Šiauliai, in northern Lithuania. The precise origin of the practice of leaving crosses on the hill is uncertain, but it is believed that the first crosses were placed on the former Jurgaičiai or Domantai hill fort after the 1831 Uprising. Over the centuries, not only crosses, but giant crucifixes, carvings of Lithuanian patriots, statues of the Virgin Mary and thousands of tiny effigies and rosaries have been brought here by Catholic pilgrims. The number of crosses is unknown, but estimates put it at about 55,000 in 1990 and 100,000 in 2006.
Over the centuries, the place has come to signify the peaceful endurance of Lithuanian Catholicism despite the threats it faced throughout history. After the 3rd partition of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1795, Lithuania became part of the Russian Empire. Poles and Lithuanians unsuccessfully rebelled against Russian authorities in 1831 and 1863. These two uprisings are connected with the beginnings of the hill: as families could not locate bodies of perished rebels, they started putting up symbolic crosses in place of a former hill fort.
When the old political structure of Eastern Europe fell apart in 1918, Lithuania once again declared its independence. Throughout this time, the Hill of Crosses was used as a place for Lithuanians to pray for peace, for their country, and for the loved ones they had lost during the Wars of Independence.
Most recently, the site took on a special significance during the years 1944–1990, when Lithuania was occupied by the Soviet Union. Continuing to travel to the Hill and leave their tributes, Lithuanians used it to demonstrate their allegiance to their original identity, religion and heritage. It was a venue of peaceful resistance, although the Soviets worked hard to remove new crosses, and bulldozed the site at least three times (including attempts in 1963 and 1973). There were even rumors that the authorities planned to build a dam on the nearby Kulvė River, a tributary to Mūša, so that the hill would end up under water.
On September 7, 1993, Pope John Paul II visited the Hill of Crosses, declaring it a place for hope, peace, love and sacrifice. In 2000 a Franciscan hermitage was opened nearby. The interior decoration draws links with La Verna, the mountain where St. Francis received his stigmata. The hill remains under nobody's jurisdiction; therefore people are free to build crosses as they see fit.

German Girl Trains Cow as a Show Horse
Regina Mayer, a 15-year-old girl from Laufen, Southern Germany, rides her pet cow Luna as if she were a well-trained show horse.
The young girl always wanted her own horse, but her parents kept saying “no”, and since she had a stable full of cows at her disposal, Regina decided she was going to try and ride one. After hundreds of hours of training and many baskets of treats, she managed to teach Luna to jump over home-made hurdles, just like a show horse.
Regina remembers that she knew Luna was special ever since she was born, three years ago. The calf came right up to her, she wasn’t shy like most other young cattle, and they developed a special friendship ever since. The 15-year-old began riding Luna about six months ago and she even contacted a riding school in Switzerland, and received some tips on how to train and equip the bovine in a way similar to a show horse. The two went for long rides around the countryside of Southern Germany and Luna become more and more comfortable, especially since her friend Regina made sure to give her delicious carrots during each outing.
Young Regina Mayer says Luna is definitely very clever, she knows what she can do and what she can’t. Right now she’s able to jump over a-meter-high hurdles, but the rider is confident this year they will reach 1.20 meters. She admits people always look at her funny when they see her riding a cow, but she wouldn’t dream of trading Luna for a horse. The trained cow has become her best friend, following her around wherever she goes, something a horse would never do.

Li Zongwen : Man Looks After 140 Stray Dogs | Animal Care Center
For former chef Li Zongwen a man's best friend is really his dog, as he looks after more than 140 strays in his home in China.
Mr Li, 59, has become a dog's best friend after adopting a number of stray and abandoned pooches.
Walkies must be a nightmare and dealing with the poop almost unimaginable because Li takes care of over 140 of the animals in his home in China.
Rescued from the streets on the outskirts of the city of Wuhan, they are given a roof over their heads and a meal to eat.
The rescued animals like to sit and watch as the former chef rustles up their grub in a big cauldron using a garden spade.
Taking care of more than 140 stray canines is no small task and the dog lover couldn't do the job without support.
Food and rent for the house costs 5000 yuan (about £480) each month, which is covered by people donating money to Mr Li.
The dogs have been living with him in his house since 2009 and Mr Li even eats his dinner surrounded by his canine friends.
